WIN this Poison Spyder Built CA4WDC JK for Just $5!
Each year the California Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs (CA4WDC) raffles off a new Jeep as their major fundraiser for the year. We've always contributed to this effort, providing whatever Poison Spyder products they requested for it. But this year we WENT BIG, taking on the entire build in order to ensure the end result was a well thought-out, cohesively built Jeep ready to take on the toughest trails with the best equipment from Poison Spyder and other manufacturers.
The photo above shows the Jeep in its current form, but we'll update that photo whenever we add to it, because this build isn't over yet! In this thread we'll showcase the build and the other sponsors who have contributed to it so everyone can see all the killer gear that's going into this Jeep.
Oh, and about the part where YOU can win it for just $5...please go to CA4WDC's website at http://cal4wheel.com/sweepstakes-vehicle to purchase tickets. The Jeep will also be on display at shows and off-road events throughout California and the southwest, with ticket sales on-site at each of them. We'll update this thread with a schedule of events where it can be seen and tickets purchased in person.
CA4WDC works tirelessly to preserve public access to public lands here in California. Their efforts are extremely important in continuing the fight for some of our most beloved off-road areas such as Johnson Valley, The Rubicon, and Ocotillo Wells (home of TDS), all of which are currently under attack from anti-access groups. The proceeds of this fundraiser will help CA4WDC continue these efforts.
The Jeep will be given away at CA4WDC's annual convention in Visalia, California on February 22, 2014. The winner does not have to be present. so get your tickets bought, help keep our trails open, and keep your fingers crossed for the drawing in February!

OK let's start the build thread off with our blank canvas:
We started with this 2013 Jeep Wrangler JK 2-door, provided and discounted by Redlands Jeep 4X4. Check with Loren and the folks at Redlands Jeep if you're in the market for a new Jeep! They support public access to public lands, CA4WDC, and are highly involved in our sport. And they have an internet department if you're not close by in Southern California.

Once we got it into the shop, the first order of business was to get it up on the lift and start cutting off the stock suspension components
We replaced them with Rock Krawler Suspension's 3.5" X-Factor Long Arm suspension system with 3" stretch.
The 3" stretch will provide that added wheelbase that really comes in handy on the trail with improved departure angles and better climbing ability.

Since the raffle tickets are available through web purchase, and most of us on the web don't live in California, what are the options to get this awesome rig back home if one of us non local raffle supporters win?
