Some people disgust me...
We all have our reasons why we chose to get a JK (I wanted it to get some of that 4x4 fun I've been missing on all these years 
), but I heard one of the lamest reasons ever the other day.
I was off to get my K&N Airfilter the other day from the parts shop I usually go to, I'm not surprised to see another JK over there, I always see on at that shop. so anyway, I always enter the shop with a hearty hello, (think of it as an indirect jeep wave
), except this guy (the JK owner) looked at me as if I was a freak or something. sure first impressions weren't everything, it did disturb me though that he was wearing a crystal spangled baseball cap.
So I thought I'd loosen up a bit of those over tight hinges and spoke to the guy, he didn't seem that interested to talk since he was with his friend, who looked like he was already part of the back ground, but our conversation kinda ended up like this:
me: "so how's your wrangler? tried it offroad?"
the guy: "it's alright, I got it because they didn't have a 2dr Hummer H3"
me:
(I literally gave him that look)
don't get me wrong, I think the Hummer H3 is an alright car, my dad owns one, I drove it a few times, not bad. But having that reason? that's disgusting. and to make things worse, he was buying every possible chrome piece he could get on his JK, chrome grill, chrome grille mesh, chrome fuel cap, chrome side mirror caps, chrome side handles, the works! it doesn't end there, he was asking the shop owner if he had anyone able to install the stuff on his JK!
usually serious jeepers here go for the 2dr, but surprisingly enough most of the serious JKers I've seen in this part of the world are mostly the 4dr guys

the funny part is I see him wherever I go now, it's hard to miss his bling abused JK
I doubt he even reads auto news
