Road & Track has a name of which to be proud, but it doesn't let that limit the testing environments it uses. Writer Zach Bowman did the right thing and took the 2014 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X to the trails of Tennessee's Windrock Park.

The vehicle, which starts at $34,595, was well-prepared, to say the least. Jeep outfitted it with e-locking diffs, a sway bar that can be disconnected, and a 4:1 transfer case. It even had steel rock sliders, off-road bumpers and removable end caps to accommodate larger tires.
