My detonator yellow is my favorite, but it is mine so I might be biased.

Every time I pass a hydro I realize if I had a choice of current colors (as in a new dealer order) it would be hard for me not to pick hydro.

Gecko is still probably my fave recent "alt" color.

But if hypergreen doesn't live up to my gecko love, hydro would be my current choice. To me, hydro really pops.

I bought used, so I really didn't have a color choice, but I love my black. Basically, choice 1 for me would be a wild color that "spoke to me". And choice 2 would always be black. With a nice thick coat of lovingly-applied carnauba wax, it's hard to beat black

Mine is "Dune" as best as I know it was 2013-2014 only. I didn't much care for it when I first saw it, then my old jeep kicked the bucket, and it was the only new, manual transmission, 2-door, Rubicon at any of the dealerships within 500 miles of me, and I had to get back to Texas (800 miles away).

I guess it is one of those bland colors this thread was talking about. While it wasn't my first pick of colors, I cared more about the running gear than the outward appearance.

The color has grown on me, and Now I wouldn't want it any other way. I don't really care what the others say. I do like that there aren't very many of them out there running around in my area.

I'll keep my "baby-$h!t yellow" off-road monster.

We may have accidentally painted our garage and all of our out-buildings a similar color of brown/yellow. Oops. Now it is camouflaged!

I drove a 2007 Detonator Yellow 2dr for 8 years. I loved that color and called it Big Byrd. When I got the 2015, Willys, I intentionally went with Anvil because if fit the decal and black grill scheme. However, tank or black would have been a possibility. I would have considered the Baja Yellow but liked the Detonator a little better. That said, I like the Anvil for the Willys W package. However, I hate to see the Sunset Orange and Baja Yellow get dropped, but Anvil got dropped as well. I don't know why they skip years for any good orange. That goes back to when Daimler had it and the outfit prior to Fiat. It isn't solely Fiat screwing with the bright colors. They have been rotating colors in and others out for a while. They have had different oranges when they have orange for example. Same thing with the various "army" green schemes (Commando, Tank etc).

Yellow for my TJ and when I bought JKUR was looking for anything but black. Almost blue, but didn't have the features I wanted. Then it came down between the white or red, White won because of pricing and couldn't be happier. I don't care much for the color matching either because it looks to overpowering. But it's not my jeep lol.

Anvil isn't really flat. It changes with the lighting. Its not just gray, there's some blue in there. Its hard to pick up on that from photos. This is on an atv trail less than 2 months after I got the Anvil Willys W. My narrow drum hadn't come in yet.
