Default Alpine Loop out of Lake City, CO.

Hi, all. My family and I are going to do the Alpine Loop starting in Lake City for the first time next weekend and were curious on opinions of which leg to do from east to west, Cinnamon Pass or Engineer Pass. If there is a more widely accepted direction of travel we would love to know that.

Thanks in advance!

Jim

I would do Cinnamon pass from east to west and make sure you take the short drive up to the American Basin.

And all we get is one stinking little picture? ;-) Honestly, if you have more that's what this subforum is for. BTW: Is that the section between the turn-off for Oh! Point and the sign for Engineer Pass?

LOL. I actually have a TON of pictures and videos. I'm just in Creede, CO until tomorrow and there is very limited cellular coverage. Not good enough for more than a few texts.

We love Creede. Make sure you stop and eat at Kip's place. Tacos are the bomb.
