Default Crawling in Colorado

I'm looking for a few rock crawling areas in central Colorado. Any suggestions?

My favorite spots are chinamans, spring creek trail (definitely the closest to Denver or north Denver for what it offers), wheeler lake is super fun, up by Nederland in Boulder county is a bunch of really easy networks of trails you can run in one day.

In Idaho springs there is a very similar network of forest service roads that you can run in a day trip as well. Spring creek and cascade creek are connected along with Saxon mountain and an old mining road called spring gulch road.

Check out traildamage.com it has directions and pictures for a ton of trails.

I you don't have recovery gear I'd highly recommend it. If your rig is built up it will help but some areas it's easy to slip and get high centered. Having a strap to quickly access and assist in pulling you out, or running line will make it much faster and more courteous for other riders behind you.

I would suggest the Charles Wells books https://www.funtreks.com/ they have great trail ratings, descriptions, and directions.

I like the tin cup area. There is all kinds of trails right in that area. It's just south of Buena Vista.
