We did that from Big D last year. We stayed in Telluride and did all the trails but Big Bear since it rained hard. We then went to Moab on a long day trip 4am to 11 PM back to Telluride. We stayed at a condo with a washer and dryer so we packed light and enabled showers every night for the kiddos and us. Have fun!

Breakfast stop in Wichita Falls:
Though the house has washer and drier, we pack fairly heavy. Big thing is the 14gallon gas can on the roof, cooler on the cargo tray. 85lbs Golden takes up the whole back area. Packed two full size hammocks with wooden ends. We'll leave one there though. Big soft-sided luggage bag that we pack all our clothes in trash bags. Packed 6person base-camp tent as my girls want to camp a night or two up in West Fork.
They picked a GREAT time to leave Dallas...forecast is 100+ every day for the next week! Yuck!
Sent from some string and a few tin cans.

Unloading the Gobi Courthouse Mountain Trail Spent today over in Ouray. Left the house 8:45am and ran Corkscrew to Hurricane Pass, California Gulch and California Pass. Went up to Engineer Pass, turned around and went back to Ouray for the annual icecream in a waffle come treat at the Ouray Candy Store that is at the south end of town. Did some quick shopping then headed north to Ridgeway. Up and over Owl Creek Pass, past Silver Jack Resevoir, and back at the house by 5pm. Took VERY few photos as it rained most of the time. Got stuck behind seven range rovers on an expedition. Appeared fully loaded including street tires. They were called something like "Great Divide Expedition." A couple had manufacture plates. They were SLOW!!!
Ahh, found this link: http://newsroom.jaguarlandrover.com/...de_expedition/
It mentions the raffled rover may be in the trip...it wasn't. At least not on today's leg.
Sent from some string and a few tin cans.
