Yeah, I would've thought so too, but thankfully it was only an 800 mile drive out there since I live in Cali now. I'm actually from the town to the north-northwest of you!

Another forum I frequent does their own event at another time to avoid the crowds, I believe.
I thought the crowds were pretty manageable for the town...i.e. there were lots of people there, but not so many as to be "over crowded." I heard a few people saying that there weren't as many people this year as had gone there in the past. To put it in another perspective, I was easily able to change two of my scheduled runs to other ones without any problems.

As all the EJS pics have been...great!

I noticed the Powerplant winches on those YJs look like they are almost up to the hood!
