Project-JK Moab Easter Jeep Safari 2008 - DAY 3
For Day 3 of the Moab Easter Jeep Safari 2008, SDMF, toad, Wayne, Aaron, Kat, LBracket, Lauren, WOLette and I started off our day by attending The Rock V event that was put on by Superior Axle and Full Traction Suspension over at AREA BFE. Our run for the day was Green Day and here are some shots from the trail....
The gateway to AREA BFE...
SDMF and toad freezing their butts off waiting for things to get going...
Making our way down to Green Day...
Green Day trailhead sign...
toad hopping her way across the first set of boulders...
me on the first big climb of the day...
Here's SDMF on the same climb...
and Wayne...
toad opted for the bypass but... it really wasn't much of a bypass...
of all the rigs to go down the falls, this one put on the best show...
There was one casualty towards the end of the trail...
and the recovery...

DAY 3 Part 2 - Kane Creek
After spending the better part of our day at The Rock V and running Green Day, we decided to do a sunset run up Kane Creek and these are some shots from it....
Trailhead sign to Kane Creek...
Being tourists before heading out...
SDMF after his new Utah Red Clay paint job...
Making our way across the valley floor, we encountered a lot of ruts...
Did I mention how beautiful this trail is...
Shot of the moon...
Boulders we had to negotiate over along the way...
SDMF...
LBracket...
toad making her way across one of the dozens of water crossings we had to make along the way...
As luck would have it, the hardest part of the trail was at the end of the trail... at night... and long a shelf road with a very high cliff off to the side...
Here's a timed exposed shot that WOLette took along the shelf road on our way out of the canyon...
and us making our way across one of the last water crossings...

Absolutely fantastic!!! As a photographer, I love the long exposure night shot that WOLette took, great job on that.
It's amazing how much Moab looks like Sedona, but I still want to make it up there some day.
