I think it might have been a few years since cattle was loaded here...

Soon we end up on dirt again, and going up and down the mountains

This is the kind of road the Tiger would eat up!!!!

We take a few turns and I believe we are on a road called Thompson Canyon.

We stopped for lunch and walked out on this ledge and sat down to picnic...

Looking back the way we came...

I'm making notes on this road for a future motorcycle trip!

There is where our road goes...

We top a steep red hill and see two Jeeps headed towards us. The first other humans we have seen in hours.

We soon are on Onion Creek Rd and as the guide book says, there are NUMEROUS water crossing, and after yesterdays rains, you can't tell how deep or how solid some are...

Most are very easy...

I lost count of how many times we crisscrossed the creek

We hit 128 and ride up to check out the "Historic Dewey Bridge"

So I take D#1 back to the motel and head back out to the Sand Flats Rec Area to finish the North side of Fins and Things, flying solo...

On top of a fin...

Just a little steep...

Had to set my camera on a shelf I was passing and take a selfie!

Yep, that's the road! Follow the black marks!

kind of narrow transition

Going Up?

I get involved with keeping all 4 tires on the ground and pointing where I want them to go, and end up finishing the trail with all parts in tact! Head back to town and pick up D#1 for supper!
