Another great trip at Uwharrie with Copyguy and his freshly lifted JKU. Best part was I didn't break anything this trip! It looked like Kodiak Rock was closed, FYI. Ironically, we came across a fella on Rocky Mountain loop that was broken down on a ledge bypass. The ironic part was it was his starter that had fried! I told him that I fried my starter last trip out. Stu got around him and hooked up his JKU, and gave him a snatch. Luckily he was in a 5 speed and it Fired right off and he was on his way. We were expecting muddy conditions, but it was still pretty dry, and that's a good thing. Got some pictures.

Had a great time, glad we could help that fellow and his girlfriend get going again. Maybe next trip we can hit Dickie Bell, I'll bring an extra starter for you, just in case.

That is probably the time frame i'll be back up there. I'll have my sliders on by then. Wife's orders are I have to take my oldest son tubing one Saturday, and I have to take my youngest son crabbing before school starts back up. Then it's on like donkey kong.

You know, I have been wanting to take my youngest back up there to pan for gold or something in the creeks. Anyone know where to do this at? He likes stuff like that.

Crabbing? Whereabouts do you live?

I live in Florence, but i'm originally from Murrells Inlet, which is about 12 miles south of Myrtle Beach. I may live inland now, but there is still salt in my veins. I've got a Carolina Skiff 19 DLX that I take out fishing and such. Been saltwater fishing for over 20 years.

I was gonna say, there aren't any crabs that far inland, lol! I live in coastal NC.

Well, we have plenty of "crabs" inland, but it's not the kind you really want to catch, and definitely don't want to eat them.
