Looks great. One of those things that look good but when money can be spent on something else, I'll pass on this for now. If I ever decide to do this though, this is a great write up.

hey Matt, when you shaved down those stoppers the vent still locks in place? What keeps it from spinning around if the stopper is gone? Thanks! You did a great project and it looks awesome. Think I will try this also!

It is possible to purchase just the trim ring, I was digging around Mopar's site looking for stuff for my '11 and they have interior trim in original colors and body matched colors, you can order the rings, door trim, and grab bar trim.
