If you're just looking for a gauge to monitor transmission temp - I agree it's pretty spendy. If you are looking for something that has the capabilities of a procal, with a benefit of monitoring engine specs, It's actually pretty reasonable.

Very nice write up!
A couple of questions:
How long is the ODBC cable? Do you think it would stretch to the pillar by the windshield frame? And what size is the guage? I was wondering if I could add it to a Autometer Can and put it next to my Autometer guages...thanks again for taking the time to do the write up!

2. Yes it will reach the A Pillar. There's some nice pics on the forum of somebody who used Camp's gauge pod.
3. The wire is pretty large - A bundle of 5 or 6 small (20-22 gauge) wires.
4. I think so?

I have two of these guages, set in pedistal pods stuck on the dash. Did not have to cut anything up
on the Jeep. Cannot send pics atm but they were similar to http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/Unive...wivel-Pod.aspx
I like them up higher so I do not have to take my eyes off the road.
Have had them 6 months or so. They are nice and I would do it again.
I am missing a few features since the latest flash, but I also have my Procal.

I got mine shipped for $219 from www.marylandspeed.com. Came black with a black bezel. The included a white gauge face and a silver bezel. Took me about 20 minutes to install it. I put mine right between the center console air vents. Way cool toy if the temps and numbers matter to you. Some programming capability too.
