i have started this today and got the 2 front panels done and moved on to the back and ran out of paint so i had to put it hold till my wife bought me more paint .. i will try and finish tomorrow
also i left a groove around the edges white ... should i fill it in ? or leave it ? i was not sure if it would affect the fit and i don't need any more water leaking into the jeep. !

also the rocker guard i picked up at Canadian tire for about 9.99 and just used 1 can so far. I cant see using more the 3 cans total! so 2 to go ! This stuff is pretty tough i used it on my utility trailer inside the bed and in the wheel wells and its still holding up really well after 2 years so i can see it lasting a lot longer on the inside of the hard top
I was also thinking of doing the jk logo just like a few posts ago but cant tape to save my life so i think i will pass also i will be trying to insulate the top soon while i have the time and it would just over the jk up if i did do it. Either way it looks fantastic !

I cant wait to finish and have the top on in the winter i will add more then its all done !
Cheers

So i finished it today !!! As predicted i only used 3 cans total and got really great coverage ! i even had enough left over to do touch ups where you could see it was a it thin and a bit of the white was speckled. Over all i am really happy with it ! $25 in paint, i had the first can left over from my trailer and it was on sale then. 2 new cans where 9.99, the 400 grit sand paper i got free from a friend. And remember to wear your PPE unless you want to get and right at the end i some how managed to get a drip in my eye OH GOD that hurt anyways the top looks great and i am glad i did it !!! I also filled in the edges of the freedom panels it looked really stupid with it white and will see how the fit is in a few months .. i hope it does not leak more then the normal
i dont have any special skills at painting or prep ! so if i could do it i am sure anyone thinking they want to do this can!!! just grow a set and i am sure it will turn out for the best

I've been wanting to do this since I bought my jeep last year. Maybe I'll just have to man up and do it and stop dreaming about it. Looks good!
