I Haven't seen any warping/cracks since it has been up there. Regarding the freedom tops, I put a small screw in front of the tops to keep them from sliding off.

This works perfectly! I rigged mine up in a shed. Was a little more difficult getting it in there but I was able to do it by myself (I do NOT recommend doing this by yourself - it is a two man job). I will keep an eye out for any warping or cracking but it seems pretty secure. I also added a few ratchet straps for added support (not in picture).
