Rubimom - great quick fix. I drilled small holes with a Dremel tool and it works great!!! I had those ugly water/soap spots on the doors for days until it finally dried out in there.

Great post! It took me less than 3 minutes from reading this post to completing this mod. Took my new (Christmas) drill and had the two holes done with ease.
Thanks for the photo on this procedure, took out any guess work. Yes,...I did a checkout by pouring water into the mirror,............fantastic results and no $$ spent!

Just a thought, but I do this with my Harley
I use a backpack blower and blow all the water off the bike. It works great! The air gets in all the nooks and crannies
