What if you put shrink tubing over the 7/16 clevis?

You could try. But it would have to be super thin. The 7/16" is only like 1/32" too small if that

I have a question for some of you running with this set up, I have lost 2 sets of pins and bolts on the highway and I was wondering how common it is for the cotter pin to just fall out. It is normally a pain to get them on so it's baffling that they would just fall out. Just curious.

Never had that happen, and I drove it 60 miles a day for work

Question

Do you need to do this on both sides or just one? Most aftermarket come with both but I assume that's just because you're normally adding a lift too and need longer while they're connected. I just drilled out one side on my 2015 to fit the 1/2" pin. Thanks.

Both sides would the optimal suggestion.. and thus one would be able to flex in both directions..

With one side disconnected won't that allow the other side to move freely as well since it won't have resistance from the other side?

In theory, yes. The sway bar would most likely get caught up on other parts of the suspension while flexing though. It's best to just disconnect both sides then flip the sway bar up and tie it to the frame so it's out of the way.

OK thanks. I have a second set of clevis pins and washers but figured why do the work if it's not necessary. They didn't have the correct linch pins so I stuck a hitch pin in it for now until they get them in stock.
