I responded to your PM as well but just in case someone else has the same questions I'm going to post most of my response here as well.

I almost exclusively buy my SEM products from my local auto body supply shop. I have a fair amount of supply shops near me but only 2 of them carry a larger amount. Keep in mind that SEM products are professional grade and not exactly the cheapest thing out there, having said that however... they are worth every penny. I also buy enough, plus I have a small business that offers me a discount... but either way its worth it.

Now as for the clear coat question you asked ("Also for the clear coat mix, do they mix that for you or did you mix it yourself?") The options I have listed, both are straight from the can. No mixing. If you plan on using them the day you pick them up from the store have them shake all the cans for you.

When I paint these types of things, its a visual thing for me. I try to always paint them in the sun and I keep another factory part close by to compare the paint and clear to the factory. But I'm fairly OCD about it.

I know this is an old post but I have a question. When you glue the mdf to the visor in the beginning, it looks angled. If it's angled how do you cover the gap between the base of the mdf and visor?

Well you don't have to fill that gap, as it will be covered when you wrap it in the fleece...

You did a great job. You have an 07 as I do too. I also have a 10, the latch for the 10 used the metal tie down on the windshield to anchor the freedom tops to the jeep. I would have to modify it to allow the latch to turn. Would that just mean bringing it down lower?

Man, I don't think I've run across this thread before. That looks great! It was pretty cool seeing that process documented along the way, cuz I wouldn't have thought it would be that easy (relatively speaking) to produce something that looked that good.
