Well as you can see in the pictures on the first page, there is only about 1/2 to 3/4 of inch between that panel and the metal frame of the windshield. This is designed and build this way to allow room for wiring these particular type of switches. If you used a small toggle simple on/off type switch you could make buildout thinner and tighter to the roof.

1. I like things to have a custom but factory look. Not a clip on, screwed on or something with a messy look to it...
2. Because the RR mount only holds 4 switches... I have 6.
3. I'll be installing a cage and you can't use the RR mount with a cage.
oh and 4. because I can.. lol I design and build things like this in an afternoon... and it will be exactly the way I want it. lol I built another one
If I can't find what I'm looking for in the marketplace I tend to just build what I'm after myself.

awesome job man!!! i really wish i had not bought the a rugged ridge set up i like your way way more! i can see your very good at fiberglass work and making things your own, by any chance have you done any kind of sub box that would fit a 2 door jk?? again amazing job
