Default How to fix squeaky rear seat headrests in a JKU?

Does any one have a solution to fixing the squeaky rear headrests in a jku? the smaller rear seat's headrest squeaks like crazy when i hit a bump and its driving me crazy.

I don't share this problem luckily, but I'd try some WD-40, and just be careful of overspray and drips.

tried that.....it seems to be coming from the mechanisim in the back of the seat...if you pound on the back you can hear it squeak

i have the same problem, can really hear it when i have the doors on, music turned down kinda low and doing 30+ mph...really annoying! i tried spraying every hinge/joint i could find for the back seats and headrests...still there! arghhhhh!!

I had the same problem and pushing it down farther didnt help. I sprayed the inside metal with WD-40 and used a big zip tie around it to keep it tight. NO RATTLE!! you can still fold the seat down and everything...NO RATTLE. it was driving me nuts too

Is it around the latch mechanism? Could try some electrical tape around the striker rod.

I have it too. I put a rubber wedge in between where it was squeaking. It stops it but every once and a while you have to readjust. I may try the zip tie idea.
