Has anyone used these while having a newborn in a rear facing car seat?

I know Hskr4x4 has twins, and I've seen the car seat bases in the back seat.

The angle isn't so steep it would cause any issues at all with a car seat. I suspect the car seat would mount even easier because of the rake.

You could always give it a try. If you don't like it, remove the recline kit.

The newborn will face backwards so this should not be an issue.

The new angle is what we get on regular rear car seats, not more.

I have twins in the back and zero issues. Also most car seat bases these days are adjustable (incline/decline) so there was never an issue. Only issue I have is scooting up my seats so they fit and we almost don't.
