I didnt' have a stubby screwdriver, and it was too snowy to run to the store. I used a utility knife and pretty much destroyed the ring that gets replaced, then used a full size screwdriver to get the airbag off. that worked really well

Jake.......Want to thank you again for this post. Factory instructions suck but yours are great...!!!
Airbag was indeed a drag, but the rest was a breeze.
Works like a charm and my bad knee will love it...!!!
Thanks Again....

Thanks for the great instructions. I was looking at the factory ones that came with the cruise control and it appeared from the poor quality drawing that you removed the air bag from the front by separating the "Jeep" cap from the front of the steering wheel. I would have been buying an airbag if I followed their instructions!
Thanks again!

Great write up but for some reason I can not view the pics.
For the record, I got the same quote of $250 ish for parts from the dealer, and they wanted another $250 for labor. About $500 for the completed job, and that is why I did not do it. With the price for parts around $150, I may go for it soon.
Any way you could email me pics?
thanks for the time to write this up!

Installing MOPAR Cruise Control
Thanks a lot for the detailed instructions and the pictures!
Needless to say, I will not be going into the airbag theft business though. That install would have been next to impossible with the factory instructions, thanks again.
