Gosh darn it!

I'm in upgrade..err umm broke mode, and now this. Living in Phoenix, my head just can't take it any more. Still over 105 out!

So now they are on my upgrade sig!

I know I could go the Home Depot route, but these look nice and hopefully will stick. They even have a Velcro template!

I'm going broke fast!

I've ordered these puppies, so we'll see how they work.

Would it be at all possible to use an expanding foam and sand it smooth?

I've used the single can with a straw style in the house before and was able to shape it a little bit when it over expanded. There are also a few 2 part kits on the interwebs.

Any thoughts?

well...I bit the bullet.
Started with a can of Great Stuff expanding foam.
Sprayed it on the passenger side panel.
At this point it looks like it could go either way. Kinda splotchy, but I will try to sand it down and see were I can go from there.

I'll try to post some pics tomorrow.

Crap, that was ballsy! I cant imagine how canned foam would be a good idea in this application. I cant wait to see the pics.

What I ended up doing was getting 3 windsheild portectors and cut them to fit and velcroed them in place.
Cuts down the reflected heat great so far.

Rolled rubi outside with windows up...waited 20 minutes opened doors and i could feel the difference in temp. Tomorrow i will test again with A/C and measure temp. I've had my roof back on since it got hot (Phoenix, AZ HOT), and it makes a HUGE Difference!

My head use to melt, not anymore. Love them!
