Jku storage/amp enclosure
I got this amp at a good deal instead of getting one that fit under the seat. Its better than the one I was looking at for less money. But after install started thinking of kids climbing and putting tools and stuff on top off the amp and I didn't like losing the storage, so decided to build something. This is what I came up with.
before
Laid out the frame, just cut boards as long as I could fit.
Added 2x4 for support
I used 3" screws and silicon to secure it all together.
I cut the top to fit and routed the edges.(sorry forgot to take pic's). Painted with duplicolor bed liner and installed hinges so the top opens in 2 parts. Gives access to amp and supplies and I can use the factory storage door to keep jumper cables and a few tools. Ended up with more useable storage space and it only cost me about $40.00( I had most of what I needed laying around).
I'm very happy with how it turned out. I love building something useable out of mostly scrap.
