Keeping fenders black?
#23
The least expensive product to use is Lemon Pledge. I have used this for over 20 years on all of my vehicles (motorcycles included). It will restore plastic as well as rubber. It may sound crazy but try it and you will be a believer.

Lemon Pledge will last a few months (less if your Jeep is not garaged and left in the sun). The nice thing about Lemon Pledge is that it does not leave a residue like a lot of the silicone based products. They work great but that residue will hold dirt like a magnet.

2nd the peanut butter
The detail guys in the shop at the stealership told me about the peanut butter trick too. Would work in a pinch if you need a quick detail before heading out-
The heat gun works , especially on really bad cases, but be careful ,do it as they advise. I tried the peanut butter thing-amazing!!! Its lasted now for 3 weeks !! I haven't washed it yet tho. Its been raining here alot and its held up really well. A bit of a mission to apply ,and don't put too much on ( difficult to polish up then) Its the ground nut oil, of course.

The peanut butter made my fenders a little lighter in that spot. I used the mopar cleaner to bring them all back to a "normal" state. When they get bad enough I'll just Krylon fusion satin black them.
