Here are a couple shots from yesterday. The setup table was not square, that will be rectified by next week. I got the lower sections of both rear doors tacked up, but you may see that they don't quite match. I was running short on time so I quickly threw those tacks down. I'm sure I will end up breaking the tack on at least one of the rear doors. The learning curve continues...

Thanks!
The slow progress has been from a couple things. First, figuring out the measurements and bends, as expected for the first time. Second, only having access to a welder at class every two weeks. Well, my Lincoln Power Mig 210 MP is on order and is due to ship next week! I also have some steel setup tables on the way. My goal is to have these done completely by the end of this month.

Well, just got the dreaded "backordered" email on the welder. So back to only making progress in class. Next class is 2/16, so I should have more updates then.

I can't make it to class next week, so the instructor is opening the shop for me this Wednesday. I hope to have all four doors tacked up and ready to test fit to get the "hinge" locations marked/tacked. Pics to follow...

Updated pics as promised...
Made some good progress on the rears today! I started with getting the top bars welded in and all welds ground flush on both rear doors.
My newbie beads...
Initially I was going to weld the 1/2" pipe I'm using as hinges flush on the table. Then I decided I wanted the doors to be a little more recessed into the frame.
So, I set each door in the corresponding frame and set the hinges. I couldn't get the Jeep and the welder close enough so I used some tape to hold the 1/2" pipe in place, ran a tack on each and confirmed the fit before running a full bead.
So here is one of the rear doors with the lower crossbar and hinges welded in.
I still need to saddle the other rear crossbar and weld that. Then it will be on to cutting the plate and getting the latches set. After that I will weld the bolts I'm using as hinge pins on.
I will be going back again next Wednesday. I plan on getting all the remaining pieces cut and maybe some of the saddles cut too, time permitting, before next week.
