New shackles and shackle dampeners.
Took the day off and wow my new shackles got delivered. So of course I had to paint them black.....
I really don't want to listen to the clunk of 4 shackles banging around and I am going wheeling at Rausche Creek Sunday for the first time. So back into the shop to cut and make some more plastic parts...
So out comes the UHMW Polyethylene. I need to make up the 3/4 of an inch between the shackle width and the shackle tab width.
The is a back set to match the shackle tab on the rear bumper
Another view
This is what the first one looks like mounted, waiting for the paint on the others to dry.
opposite side
From the front, I had 1/4 and 1/2 inch thick plastic. I guess if i had 3/8 in house I would have just made both sides even.
Pretty happy with the end result. Required a saw, drill press and a sander.
