Default Rancho 9000 Shock Settings

For those that have installed the Rancho adjustable shocks what do you have them set to and under what driving conditions?

I've set mine to 5 on the front and 8 on the back, but I think I could drop this some. Mostly highway but always seem to have about 150 pounds of gear in the trunk and back seat. I haven't really adjusted for the lease/fire/forestry roads I drive yet.

Just trying to gauge what works best.

I run mine at 5 front and rear most of the time. It has treated me well.

Yesterday a truck drove off the mountain near where I work so the fire service closed the road down forcing me to take a washed out gravel road to town, about 10 mile. Well the way down was rough with my current settings, see above. Once I got gas I turned the shocks down to 1 on all corners. I couldn't believe the difference on the ride. Road was very soft, the mountain road back up was completely different too. Very nice indeed, didn't feel like the dash was gonna fall out this time!

One thing I would like to have though is a key for the adjustment. Something kinda like a wing nut just to make the adjustment easier.

Brilliant. the best part about installing these shocks is that my death wobble (only on high speed turns with a large seam) Is...wait for it GONE!
