RAZR Sharp Custom tramp stamp
Ok so I've had a lot of questions regarding my RAZR sharp customs trampstamp. So I thought I'd do a little write up on it.
My 2012 JKU had a heavy thirty five on the stock carrier and was playin hell on my tailgates spot welds. So I looked around at tramp stamps and couldn't find one I really loved. Then I remembered a custom shop in Sparta Ky that specialized in Rzr cages so I called him up and told him what I wanted, in a day Justin took it from concept to reality.
When I received my stamp it was bare metal so I debured the edges and prepped it for paint. I used lessonal acid etch primer, let that dry scuffed it with a red scotch brite pad, and applied two coats of 2k primer sanding in between coats. Lastly I sealed it and painted it in sikkens base coat clear coat.
While that dried I took the light on the stock spare tire carrier, and cut it off the factory mount, no pictures sorry! Then I removed the factory vent, plugged the factory light into the stock harness. The stock light has two screws in the back of the housing. I drilled two holes on the inside of the gate, and screwed the tail light into the tail gate.
Then as I was concerned about water getting into the tail gate I went to my local welding supply store and got a forney welding shield and 3m double sided taped it onto the back of the stamp as to seal it up.
To finish it up I bought some camper tape, and went around the perimeter of the stamp with camper tape to seal water out, and bolted it all up!

So things to know, this method seals the factory vent up. So to protect your jeeps seals and your HVAC system from over pressurization you must open another vent. To solve this problem I just pulled the drain plug from under the stock jack location, worked great! If you have any questions or comments feel free to post them up!
