Default Roll Cage

Thought I would share some pictures of the install of my sons Gen Right weld in roll cage. Expensive kit but damn does it fit nicely together. The only issues I would say is they could place a few more pictures in the instructions.

Awesome Mike congrats on having a "real" cage! I was looking at that myself! How long did the install take after the gutting was completed?

Hey Frank, the cage is being installed in my sons JK I have the PSC one. If they would have had these when I got mine I would have gotten one. Sweet cage, fairly easy to install. As for install time (not including painting) I would say that from start to finish we will have a good 25 hours into it.

Nice job. Notice any issues with the hardtop? I'm running a soft top but I figure if it fit well for the hardtop it would most likely be good for the soft top as well. From these pics it looks like you tacked it in vehicle and pulled it out to finish the job? Or was it removed just to paint??

Can you take a picture from the drivers seat out through the windshield? Im curious how much the two support bars in the middle block your view. Im considering adding the same bars to mine, but still drive mine on the highway enough that I might forget it.

Frank the cage was tacked in place then removed to be fully welded and then painted. We can take a pick of the v bars once it is back from the painters and installed. It was not bad when we had it installed but I was sitting on a milk crate at the time.

Looks nice in your Jeep.

But I have some concerns.

Price. OUCH.... I have other, safety related concerns, but damn... I'll go buy the steal and weld you up a custom job for that kind of cash.

I agree it is a very expensive cage, I run the PSC in mine and I have no complaints. For the stuff I do it would just be a flop to one side or the other. My son however always like to one up the old man and figured he wanted this one. We do not have much choice way up here in the North for supplies so this was the most ecomomical solution for him. Sorry Frank I guess I never really answered your question, there are no inteference issues with the hardtop. The cage easily clears the bars in all locations.
