Rough Country Adjustable Control Arms Review
Hey Peeps,
I just wanted to give the guys at rough country a shout out on their control arms that i have recently installed. My jeep had felt a little flightly through the years nothing that would draw my attention to really do much about it until I went to have my rig aligned and was told that i should pick up a set of adjustable arms so that i can align it correctly.
So i did some research on arms and took a step towards rough country, I'm already running their 3.25 lift without any problems so I purchased a set of front upper and lower arms. The install was simple enough with the proper tools, the instructions are a little bit vague but there are so YouTube videos that show you how to assemble the flex joints and how to install the arms. I watched the videos over and over again so that i had a good understanding of what was in front of me. All in all it went smoothly and I'm very happy with the install.
I have taken my Jeep on a 10hr trip up the coast in Oregon/Washington and the handling is like night and day "Hella Smooth" and tight feeling. I should have bought these sooner, if i only knew it would give me back my steering back i would have bought these sooner. Off road these are sweeeet, great flex and my jeep responds nicely with my discos off..
Thanks again Rough Country!!
I dont have pic at the moment cause its pouring down rain here on the coast but I'll post pics when it clears up..
Thanks

I love the beefiness of the x-system control arms and definitely the price. However the RC flex joints are junk and continually kept coming apart. I couldnt drive to the store without them failing and ended up spot welding the crappy threaded washer on. The good news is I was able to swap out the RC flex joints for true Johnny Joints as they have the same thread and have been bulletproof for the last 3 years.

Unfortunatly the above poster is correct about the flex joints failing. I went through them very frequently and finally gave up and got synergy front lowers with the johnny joint ddb bushing combo. The poly end is no better as they will fall apart rather quickly ass well. I know you just got these for cheap and are excited but that excitement MAY be short lived. Hopefully you have better luck. The actual structure of the arm itelf is beefy and never gave me issues
