Did mine last night... Thanks to the inspiration of you creative bastards on this forum!! And thanks to Jeep for hiding a sweet lookin' piece of framing underneath the stock POS plastic bumper.. The greatest free improvement on my rig to date. Still gotta get a d-ring or tow hook and put some mesh in there, but basically done... Amazing what a little free time, some tools and a can of bedliner can do!

Now, on to some giant wheels and tires!

Ouroborus2012, how did you attach the grill guard? I've been thinking about making something like that . I've got some 2.5" pipe and a pipe bender.... your rig looks great !

Nice job! Just wondering how you kept the factory fogs?

I bent some brackets and welded them inside the bumper. Drilled and tapped some holes for the lights to mount to.

The guard has a bracket piece that hangs down on both sides of itself. I assume it's designed to snuggle in on the frame behind the bumper. I simply drilled some holes to give it the height that I wanted, slapped some bolts/nuts through it and whammo! Done!

If you're gonna be making it yourself, just look behind your bumper directly where you see the two lower ends of mine going down on my rig... You'll see the frame piece where you could have your brackets meet up. Just measure them to the inside and weld them (or however you see fit) on to your guard and bolt those jokers in!

Good Luck and post some pics if ya do it!
