Default Teraflex rockslider install mini write-up

Installed some Teraflex rock sliders and added my own steps on them.

Included hardware.
SS button heads are 1/4-20x1"
Hex heads are grade 5 5/16-18x3.5"
Also includes 2 rockers (duh) and rubber that goes under rocker upper portion
Weight of each slider is 13.2 Lbs.

Kit comes with a bolt installation tool for nut inserts ( see pic above). I recommend the tool in the pic below.

After putting tape along the body of the Jeep (protects paint) I used the holes in the sliders to start a pilot hole. I used a floor jack to hold the sliders to the Jeep tightly while drilling. The drill size for the nut insert is 25/64". I put a glue ( E6000 brand) on the inserts to protect the bare metal.
Here they are installed.

The plastic inside the door has to be removed to install the bolts that hold the base of the slider.
Make sure you move the wires out of the way.

Here they are installed.

Here I am making my homemade steps for the sliders. They are made of 16 gauge SS. Size is 3.25" x 17". I drilled a total of 16, 3/4" holes in each step. Then I used a dimple die on them

One down, one to go.

I still need to drill holes to attach these to the sliders. I will use the same style button head SS screws that Teraflex included to attach these.

The style I bought is used in a small shop press. There is also a style that uses a bolt to tighten the 2 dies together, Barbed wire off-road sells these to.
I also found this video.

Default Finished install

Finished the second step. Decided on 3 screws per step. Drilled and tapped 1/4-20 holes for each step. Screws are 1/4-20x3/4" ss button heads.

Had to show a picture of my homemade press in action.

Steps mounted on rockers.
