Great idea! You're not the only one worried about someone swiping the garage door opener. What's worst is if someone just clones your opener and stops by when no one is home.

I went with a key chain remote: Robot Check which has been working for me for the last year. I was having issues with the buttons accidentally being pressed and opening my garage but since I programmed the smaller buttons I haven't had any problems.

Yep, great idea! I went with a different button location and velcro'd the xmtr to an access panel for the eventual battery change (left enough wire to drop either panel to the deck).

Ditto... A few minutes with an Exacto knife. Cut out a bit of the hard foam in the rollbar above my left ear and stuck my opener in there under the padding. Works great from a block away and you can't tell there's anything in there. Actualy can't even really feel it unless you know what you're looking for.

Awesome idea. I did this last night in about an hour. I ended up tucking the controller inside the nylon sleeve that wraps around the roll bar at the edge of the upper a-pillar trim piece. A couple of snaps below:
