I purchased a set of the 9000 adjustable shocks last summer. I noticed yesterday that the rear drivers side shock boot has rubbed the paint completely off a section of the body and has surface rust. Should i remove the shock boot to avoid further damage or what would be a solution to the problem as there is no adjustment to the hard plastic boot that would stop it from contacting the shock body? Thanks,
