You think that a one inch difference in tire size means you won't have any worries about the housing or c's bending? Interesting...

Typo on my end. I compared 305/70/17 to 285/75/17

Thanks for seeing that.

The weight is also a big factor when choosing a tire

Do you like how it rides? Are you planning on replacing the wheels also?

the lift rides great. Went with that lift because I got dealer cost at 2200 installed. (Friend owns dealership) Couldn't put together lift with fox shox and hydro bump stops for that. Am replacing wheels but haven't decided what to put on it yet. Sent using smoke signals

I think he's saying that even going up in tire size 1" will still be cause for concern.

People have bent housings and c's, and/or shattered housings on stock tires just from hitting curbs and potholes. Look it up.

35" does not mean you will have a problem, and 34" does not mean you won't.

I can't believe I am catching All the flack. I asked for pictures not the bullshit the that is cluttering the post. The fact is that it can go on a thinner rim and is a smaller and thinner tire. It is less weight than a 12.5 inch 35 tire. If I bend something hitting a pothole then fine but I don't want to ask for problems. Thing that may be out of my control are covered under my insurance. I wanted to see it with stock and flat flares and a 3 inch lift. I have had 35 inch tires on other vehicles and really don't see a need. The extra cost of having to do all the extra stuff is not possible at this time. I didn't say "give your opinions" I said " show me pics " Sent using smoke signals

Here's a pretty cool article with some pictures of what you're looking for. You may try google images. I tend to have better luck finding pictures there as it provides pictures from multiple forums and articles. I too considered the 285/75 but it seems the selection was limited.

These forums are full of threads of photos of just about every color, lift size, model, and tire size out there. It is not that hard to do a simple search to find photographs. The search function gets messed up and people get frustrated using it because of threads like these and the "what lift" and "what tire" thread that is started almost every day. I wish the mods would would recommend a link or search suggestion and lock these threads to keep the clutter of these dumb photo requests to a minimum.
