285/75/17 VS 33x12.50x17
Can I see pictures of both? I have looked through the 33's thread, and so many haven't listed the exact tire measurements, or the info in the profile is outdated.
Does the extra width make much of a difference in offroad/onroad traction? I'd like to see some good angles to see how much the width adds to the look of the Jeeps as well.
Let me know what you think!
Thanks guys!

285/75"s come in at 33.8". I'm seriously considering this size as a happy medium between 33's ans 35's. The selection is very limited and price is high compared to other more popular sizes....

My understanding is the 285 75 17 is a more narrow, taller tire than the 33 12.5 17 with a converted designation closer to 34 11.5 17. The KM2 in 285 75 17 is what I plan on for my new 2012 Rubi JKU. Would like to put on stock rims with the smallest lift they will fit & without spacers if possible. Tire Rack says the diameter is 33.9". I would like to know too what the actual is.

Here are a few angles. I run terra grapplers, 283/75 17. Inflation at about 30psig yields about 33 1/2"

So can someone tell me the handling difference between 285 width and 12.50? Obviously, the 12.50 is wider....I'm wondering how much a difference the inch or so makes....

I'm looking into getting bigger tires on my 2016 wrangler with have a 2.5" lift. I have 17" stock rims and would like to get tires that'll stick out a bit. Will 33x12.5 x17 work on stock rim ? Also what is the equivalent in size to the 33x12.5 x17 ?
Thanks for the help
