This is yet another gearing thread. But I think I want something different. I want info on your rig. Even if you are still running stock gears and tires I want to hear from you. If you have upgraded I want to hear from you also. This is what I am looking for.......

1 - What gear ratio are you running?

2 - What tire size & Brand are you running?

3 - At 70 mph what RPM is your engine turning?

4 - Are you using the AEV PROCAL or Superchips Flashpaq?

5 - On the road what is your opinion of the performance?

6 - Off road what is your opinion of the performance?

7 - If your fairy god mother came to you and said you will get any tire/gear package you want would you change and to what?

about 2300ish (60mph is 2000)
4 - Are you using the AEV PROCAL or Superchips Flashpaq?

Flat great. Up steep mountains ok, but not great... downshifting is a little annoying
6 - Off road what is your opinion of the performance?
Still really good. Can idle up most things in 4LO
7 - If your fairy god mother came to you and said you will get any tire/gear package you want would you change and to what?
Well ,that's unrealistic. Otherwise I'd want 40s and dumptruck gears
37s with soemthing in the 5s.


MPG city and highway everyday is 16.5.

Going 55 mph on flat land, I can get 19-20.
Going from MD to MI through PA and OH, going 70-80mph, 16.5-17.

5. Love it! Doesn't downshift as much and feels more powerful. Not my daily driver if it was i would done 4.88's. I cruise at 80mph so it's spinning at 3200rpm. I average 13 mpg but will average 18 mpg at 65 mph
6. Great! Better crawl ratio so less gas pedal is used
7. Probably would of went with toyo m/t's or trail grapplers

5. Its does fine. Steep hills and the 50-70mph winds we get suck.

6. Have never had a prob off-road. Does everything I ask it too

Even you stock guys. Really curious what stock rubicons are running with stock gears and tires.

2)37 mtrs
3)2100-2200
4)had the aev. got the superchips when it became available. you do feel a difference
5)gets me around just fine especially with the 87 tune
6)so so not the optimal ratio to be running. the crawl tune helps
7)getting 488s installed tommorrow. thank you fairy god mother

dont have 70 mph memorized but, at 60 mph in 6th the tach is just at the top end of the green Eco zone.

4. its great on the road, it tops out just over 80 (you could push it to higher, but 85 is the best
5. off-road it's wonderful, I traded the better off road vs better on road, in favor of off-road

i wouldn't change anything
