I wouldn't quite say that. I've witnessed the above stroked and ripp'd JK leave a smokey burnout on pavement with 37's..... I've driven it and it's pretty damn impressive.

Has anyone had a positive experience with 505 performance? All I read is stories of disappointment.

Did you ever get that figured out? I am looking at one of those motors now but not supercharged. My 3.8 is at about 105K and I am thinking it might be a good time to change it here in the very near future. Looking at all types of options from O'rielly remaned for only 2k to this stroker. I would love a Hemi but that type of money just isnt in my budget at the moment. Maybe once it is paid off in a few more months...I think it will be about 12.

Bumpity bump.. Anything new?

My engine has 155k. Still runs fine, but looking for more power under $7k.

I'm in CO, and would drive it to 505 and come back when done.

Default anyone try the 505 with a sprintex yet?

following this as well.

Im running a sprintex SC and was looking at 505 performance stroker... was advised to not run a SC with the 4.1 because it works the SC very hard according to them with minimal boost? could this be adjusted by just swapping the pully? Or would you need to bore the SC as well ?

I see most people are running the RIPP and despite them being different styles of SC, boost is boost so if its running well on a ripp i might give it a go with my sprintex

Maybe I missed it, has anyone tried one of the 4.1 stroker 505 engines in a stock, un-blown setup? I'm looking for a little more grunt for hauling my 2900 lb travel trailer and this looks like it may be an affordable option.

Thanks!

FourWheeler did a write up on this with a naturally aspirated 4.1. Im sure its partially bias but might be someone there you could reach out to for more info

I did it.... Very long story, but at the end of the day, oh and 3 camshafts and a thrown rod, and broken crank, I put a fresh 3.8L back in and sold the Jeep.

Your welcome to PM me for more details if you want.
