Default 4dr take off on 2dr

Hey guys and gals,

Can the springs and shocks from a 4 dr auto be put on a 2 dr manual?

Yes, but why. If you want a lift, buy one to your liking and you will get a more predictable lift.

That could be a lot cheaper. Some sale a complete set for a hundred bucks

I got my JKU springs for $60 got 1.75" front and 1.25 rear. nice and level.

I got my JKU springs for $30. They were from a standard JKU, however. One with the premium towing package will get you even more. Cheap lift. But it will ride stiffer than your stock springs.

I installed a leveling kit with the springs and gained about 3/4" more than the leveling kit alone.

If you can get them cheap enough, go for it. If not, pass and just get a 2" spacer lift.

Keep in mind that they are still factory coils and they will sag. The gains that people post dissipate with factory coils. I know because I had poor coils, upgraded, put miles on it, upgraded, put more miles on it, and upgraded again.

It's a 'good' temporary solution but with the money that I've put into coils over 100k miles, I could be halfway to a decent small lift (albeit they were not available when I began purchasing stock coils.) I'm probably $150-200 into coils thus far.
