Are you talking about snapping the cross section or caps? Because mine breaks the caps all the time, but only the 2 caps that are held in by the straps.

Yes, I run 1310 joints and had them built at a local shop.

I'm running 37's. Like Invest said, 1310's should honestly be fine for most stock motor applications, and plenty run 1310's and 37's with no problems.

I like to buy things once, so went heavy duty with sealed joints, that way I am covered down the road if I decide to go bigger.

I can absolutely agree with this. I broke a 30 spline dana 60 axle stub with a 1310 tom woods shaft. People underestimate the 1310. The only reason I went with 1350 in the rear is because they dont make 1310 yokes for 14 bolts. That and 1310 on a rear axle turning sticky 40's may be pushing it.

The "you need a 1350 drive shaft for 37"+ tires" thing that you see on manufacturers websites is marketing. It costs very little to make a 1350 over a 1310.

Now, I must add, if you want to buy a driveshaft, call Adams directly. James Adams himself will probably answer the phone and he will know exactly what you need. I paid $444 shipped for a custom length 1350 shaft minus pinion yoke. The best part was that it was installed under my jeep 48 hours after calling him.

I just called them directly and that's the price they wanted. That was minus pinion yoke which is probably $80, I already had one. Still pretty cheap.

Northridge and quadratec really jack up the price. I paid more for my 1310 tom woods from quadratec.

Buddy got 1350 front and rear adams for right around $1000, but I think they were running a deal.
