The "you need a 1350 drive shaft for 37"+ tires" thing that you see on manufacturers websites is marketing. It costs very little to make a 1350 over a 1310. Now, I must add, if you want to buy a driveshaft, call Adams directly. James Adams himself will probably answer the phone and he will know exactly what you need. I paid $444 shipped for a custom length 1350 shaft minus pinion yoke. The best part was that it was installed under my jeep 48 hours after calling him.
The WAL guys recommend a 1350 no matter what. I just shake my head.
Front they like to say a 1310 is a downgrade because the factory single u-joint is a 1330. Well bozo's the actual shaft which is hollow is not... Smhx2

I do not have any experience with Adams shafts. That being said I'm running Tom Woods 1350 custom shafts front and rear with 37's and have had only one problem with the front driveshaft, but that was due to the ring gear breaking and binding up in the pinion a under a load. The only thing that broke was two of the u-joints. I sent it back in and it was fixed under warranty, only cost to me was to ship it back in. Excellent customer service; stay in touch with me through the entire process of it being repaired. The u-joints were replace with a stronger joint than it originally came with. The ride is great and no vibration what so ever going down the road even at 85-90 MPH. Very satisfied with these shafts. Highly recommended. Hope this helps.

Proper gearing is a factor in u-joint strength. if you are not running the right gears for tire size you are likely to break U-joints as the shafts will see more stress. When I ran 37's with 4.10 gearing I broke U-joints all the time. When I went to 5.13 I have never had a u-joint failure.

Size, typically the bigger the joint the lower the operating angle is.

I have been running Adams 1350's front and rear for years now. They work perfectly and have never had an issue with them on or Offroad. I'm a 2door on 37's. Well worth buying

I just called them directly and that's the price they wanted. That was minus pinion yoke which is probably $80, I already had one. Still pretty cheap.

Northridge and quadratec really jack up the price. I paid more for my 1310 tom woods from quadratec.

Buddy got 1350 front and rear adams for right around $1000, but I think they were running a deal.
Sorry but I think in your case by not getting the yokes it obviously lowered the price. we do not Jack up the price we sell based on what Adams suggest us to sell them for and we should be cheaper everytime.

Damnit. My minor dyslexia got me. I paid $555, not $444. It was just the pinion yoke that I already had, that was like $50 so almost identical price.

I highly recommend Adams you can't beat the warranty, I put a 1310 in the rear and have had no more driveline vibrations since installing
