A couple of inches on a JK is more than enough. again unless your rock crawling, keep your rig low.

Mark I have enjoyed reading all of your posts but am curious your reasons to go Teraflex on your right?

Uh, there weren't many options in 2007--most companies would wait a couple years before offering anything. Even today, some of these companies folks rave about have been making JK lifts for only a couple model years. Also, I've helped to install a lot of different brands of lifts, and think the TF is just fine--as long as you recognize that their lift isn't particularly good with very heavy weight in the rear end (which is why I now have OME HD springs in the rear when configured for expedition runs). If I were to do it again, I might go AEV, but would definitely opt for adjustable front LCAs over the relocation brackets. There are some lifts I've helped install and I definitely would not want one of them on my rig--poor quality in workmanship when you really dig into the pieces and parts. I won't name names because some folks are very fond of those brands and I don't want to start any arguments--no point in that.

I installed the AEV 2.5" over Christmas break. I would say the wheeling here in south Jersey is pretty moderate. From what I've read and experienced the AEV is an amazing all around lift. I get plenty of travel, I stay low to the ground, and road manners are pretty awesome as well.

AEV 2.5 with 35s will get you through with ease, ANY trail in the ouray area. Except for phoughkeepsie gulch. This requires at least one locker/limited slip and I recommend full lockers front and rear. Otherwise, you need a winch-strap from someone that did make it up.

33" tires on a JKU are plenty for ouray area trails. That being said, I really appreciated my 3.5 and additional "flex" it provided. Seemed more stable when crossed up and offcamber.

From phoughkeepsie gulch (leveling kit and small 33s): without lockers, I would not have made it.

Awesome video! Gives the flat lander in Florida an idea for a dream trip west. Nice to see relatively stock vehicles getting thru these challenges instead of cage buggies with 38's ! Well done.

Here's a video of my JKU with AEV 2.5" kit ...I show up at 3:00 (both white and green JKU have it) again around 7:30 http://youtu.be/hwDFbOyVfOk Nothing crazy but we handled this stuff with ease. Only the 4Runner scraped his underbelly, but on a side note I was actually impressed with what he could do!
