I have been running my slabs for about 18 months (30K miles) and love them with only one drawback and that is how the rings retain water when it rains. I would highly recommend looking at the KMC Machette wheels which are basically ATX wheels with a different rock ring that allows for wather to drain.

You can actually bolt the Machete ring to the Slab wheel, and would be a good upgrade. I also don't like how they hold water.

I wondered if this were possible.
