auto trans fluid change bolts
I read the write up.. Was getting ready to tackle it but didn't want to go any further. Ill be able to remove all the bolts, but what about putting them back?
with that damn exhaust in the way, it seems like it would be a real bitch to get the bolts threaded in those 3 PITA spots.
Thoughts?

The bolts are on pretty tight so went a friend's shop and he loosen them up with an air tool then I drove it back home and changed the fluid and filter. I put plastic under the whole entire Jeep and I'm glad I did a pretty messy job.

What year JK are you asking about? It sounds like it's a pre-2012.
If so....
I replaced the hard to get to bolts with cap screws from Lowe's, and used a ball allen wrench to install them. This combination eliminates the need to get a straight shot at the heads when starting them. Put the screw on the ball wrench, and wiggle it into the proper angle to the hole while carefully turning. You can feel if or if not the threads have started. Take an original bolt with you to get the correct thread size and length.

I did this on mine 2009.
I loosen the bolts for the exhaust at the manifold, used a ratcheting strap and pulled the crosspipe towards the back of the Jeep to get a straight shot.
I needed anothet set of hands to put the exhaust bolts back.
I stripped one of the holes and repaired it with heli-coil.
Also one of the bolst goes in with Loc-tite.
I have a set of thos hex head for next time I open it I plan on replacing them.
