Ok another question. Should I install spring retainers? If so, which locations (front lower and rear upper/lower)?

Shouldn't you do the drooping/stuffing first? If a coil falls out, you'll have your answer on whether or not you need the retainers.

Probably the best path. Figured if someone knew for sure I should do it I could maybe just get them installed when I do the springs. I'll just flex it out though and check.

Ok so I got everything installed except shocks and front sway bar disconnects. RK 1.5" springs, 2" front and 2" rear bump stops, nitro sleeves, evo gussets, 35" mud grapplers with 4.5" backspace wheels, and cut the fenders flat. So I stuffed a front tire and then rear tire and these seem to be the shock measurements. Front 16.5-29" (unseated spring with stock control arms) and rear 17.5-24". Seem about right? This seems straight forward but I should be fine with the long travel OME 60066L and 60067L which I believe are front 15.9-27.3" and rear 16.6-27.8" correct?

I don't need limiting straps do I? It's the stock arms and only 1.5" lift.

if your rear numbers are correct you will be dropping coils with the LT shocks. I would re check the rear as the travel you are showing is less then stock. With those coils and 2" of bumpstop you should have more available travel.

The rear seemed wrong to me too. What's the best way to check? I had it stuffed on the rear bump stops and the front was unseated and on bumps. Could it be a problem with stock length rear sway links? Sadly I'm back in Chicago and not sure where exactly I can check it. Since the rear stuffed tire was on the bump stop will those shocks work since it's .9" shorter? Or could it change that much and more if the other side does end up extending further (pivot)?

edit: Doing the checking with my dad was not easy so I didn't check as thoroughly as I wanted. "Just lift one side until both tires come off the ground and measure it." "It's going to tip over." "Just buy the shocks in the kit cause they know what they're doing when they put them together." Then he tried taking a 4" grinder to the metal brackets on the front brake lines lol.

Is it probably for you post pictures of your jeep? Maybe on level ground? Maybe next to a stock Jeep?
