Default Brights dash light dimmer??

Is there a way to make the brights indicator light on the dash dim with the rest of the dash lights? It's so annoying how bright that blue light is, I been thinking pulling the dash out and seeing if I could wire it into the dimming switch wires just wondering if anyone has noticed this as well.

I've read a post where a guy said he pulled out the dash and put a layer of window tint over that spot. My guess is, it was just a small square over that light. Another guy said he just put black tape over it and hid it completely.

I took delivery of my jeep in Dec 2007. That damn blue light is excessively bright. I put a piece of black electrical tape on the plastic housing of the gauge cluster directly in front of the brights indicator. As you know the blue light is exessively bright and you can still tell the brights are on even with the tape. First and only mod so far! lol. I also have a 2012 and the brights indicator doesnt seem as annying in it?
