If you're like me and like to get on it more times than not, sounds like 4.88 with the 30 is a better bet....

Check this thread...

...and keep in mind he was running only 35's

What ended up going into the Jeep? 4.56 or 4.88 gears?

I have yet to install anything. I am trying to get my order changed to 4.88s, shouldn't be a problem.

Well, it has been mentioned that I need bump stops front and rear. "So I don't damage my fenders" I am doing the xrc fender Clair's, so do you guys think these are really necessary? Also, are the axle seals needed right away? I have asked for a quote on getting the lift installed , and he added in the seals...need a little direction.

At this point, I'm really just about to pony up and put the thang on jack stands bolt this thing on myself....any pointers?

installing a 3.5 lift should be pretty simple and straight forward. Read the directions several times, and make sure you understand everything in them before you start. I'v found, in the few lifts i'v done, the hardest part can be muscling the springs into place. A spring compressor is a huge help! Go slow,, give yourself the whole day, and invite a couple of mechanically inclined friends.( 2-3 heads are better than 1) Turn on the tunes, have fun, and drink plenty of beer when you finish
ps,,, air tools!!!

Cool, I will definitely be bringing a buddy or two to the garage...funny thing is, my wife bought me some air tools for Christmas, all I need is the air compressor and hose now.

I do think we can get it done in my garage, with the tools I have, and hopefully the Dremal 4000 can Handel the pinch seams. Those things have proven handy in the past.

Btw, any thoughts on the bump stops? Been looking around and watched a few vids that guys didn't have them on either.
