Will this base plate work with most aftermarket bumpers?

How does it clear rocks & ledges?

Will it hang up or damage the mounting points if it scrapes rocks or ledges?

Can you post some photos of the base plate on your Jeeps?

I need something to put on my new 2012 Jeep to tow behind the RV. I have the Blue Ox 10,000# tow bar system for my 2008 Jeep I traded in. The mounts were welded onto the Jeep and occasionally scraped or hung up on rocks & ledges (no lift - stock tires).

I'm thinking about putting on a steel stubby bumper with Blue Ox mounts welded on instead of shackle mounts. Some bumper companies will do that mod.

Thanks.

You would have to contact Currie to see what bumper it will fit. It tucks up under the bumper pretty well for clearance. I will shoot pics and post when I get home.

Below is the e-mail I sent to Currie with questions about the tow bar plate. When I get a response, I'll try to post the answers.

"I have a 2012 2dr Jeep Rubicon and want to be able to use my Blue Ox 10000# tow bar to tow the Jeep behind the RV.

Will this fit on the 2012 Rubicon?

How is the front approach angle? (I had a custom set up on my 2008 2dr Rubicon and often scraped the front mounts on ledges & rocks)

Do you have any photos of the Rock Jock Tow Bar Plate on a 2012 Jeep Wrangler? (preferably views from the front, front corner, side, and under neath)

What winch bumpers will this work with? (I’m considering a stubby or mid width like Poison Spider Brawler Lite or a ORFAB)

OR, what bumpers will this not work with?

Lastly, will this work with the stock Jeep bumper until I purchase & install an aftermarket bumper?
"

I'm still looking for photos of this plate on a Wrangler.

Thx...

I've had this plate for about a year now and it works great with my blue-ox aventa lx tow bar.

My question for all of you is have you had any luck finding an aftermarket bumper that fits with the currie plate?
