Oooookay just learned I have to spend more money to get 37" to work.
I was told I need a new carrier on the front to fit the 5.13 gears? Is this true? If so can someone recommend a good affordable option to me for a carrier?
Can I just go to the 4.88 gears and make that work and not get the carrier?(yes I know 5.13 is recommended) Planned on getting Revolution gears and rebuild kit.
2011 Jeep Wrangler Sport, Automatic trans, 2 door.

You'll need a new carrier regardless of 5.13 or 4.88 gears. You're currently running 3.21 gears with your stock sport so a new carrier is needed.
With the 3.8, auto & 37s you need 5.13 gears. Those with 4.88 are full of shit.
Another thing to consider is 37s & Dana 30 ring & pinion are not the greatest match regardless of 4.88 or 5.13 gears but that's another topic to discuss.

The carrier cut off is between the 3.21s and the 3.73. A new factory carrier is only about $80. If you want to run 37s you will need the 5.13 but that is a nasty combination. At the very least you will need to run a heavy cast diff cover to help prevent the housing from flexing and gear deflection ....

The part numbers might change, but you can find them pretty much anywhere. Just look in the jeep jk axle/differential/carrier area of whatever website. And if you want to throw money at traction that is cheaper than a selectable, the TrueTrac might be a more affordable option. Under $400.

Unless you're doing the labor yourself, you're increasing the odds that you will be spending more money replacing your gears after you chew your 5.13s up with those 37s.
His point was that if you're going to throw away money on a Dana 30, might as well go balls out.
